About    
The All-American Youth Showmanship Award is designed to encourage and recognize the development of excellence in showmanship skills.

Qualifying Process    
1. Youth must have participated in four or more showmanship classes which use the Belgian Draft Horse Youth and Education Fund, Inc. Youth Showmanship Guidelines.

2. A youth selects his/her placings from the best four shows which:
  • At least one must be a current Belgian Merit Program® show.
  • Showmanship class may be an all Belgian breed or mixed breed.
  • Points are calculated by actual placing that occurs in a class.
  • Youth must show a Belgian horse, ownership not required.

All-American Qualification    
1.  To be on the All-American team a youth would have to earn 26 or more point at four shows. To be on the Reserve All-American team a youth would have to earn 24 or 25 points. A youth would have to earn 23 or 22 points to be recognized for an Honorable Mention.

2. Youth 10 through 18 years of age can participate. A calendar year (January 1 - December 31) will be used for qualifying purposes.
